This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from feycosmetics.com (the “Site”). Throughout the Site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to FEY Cosmetics.

When you visit the Site, we collect certain information about your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases. We may also collect additional information if you contact us for customer support or interact with us. When you visit the Site

We may use cookies to automatically collect certain technical information about your visit. For example, we may collect your IP address, your device ID as well as information about your operating system, browser type, the address of a referring site and your usage information. We generally use the following types of cookies on the Site: 

  • “strictly required cookies”: required for the Site to run and cannot be switched off and are set in response to actions made by you on the browser, such as setting your language, currency, login session and privacy preferences. We use this information to provide you with relevant information. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but this may affect the functionality of the Site.
  • “analytics and statistics cookies”: to allow  us to measure various traffic data points on the Site and see traffic sources . We use this data to adapt content, understand traffic patterns, measure advertising campaign efficiency and enhance overall user experience.
  • “marketing and retargeting cookies”: set by our marketing and advertising partners and which are used by them to understand your interests and later show you relevant ads. 
  • “functional cookies”: which enable the Site to offer additional functions and personal settings. 
  • “device information”: such as version of web browser, IP address, time zone, what products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.

When you contact us for customer support or interact with us

We collect personal data when you interact with us: 

  • “when you make a purchase or initiate a return online”: we may collect personal data from you so we can complete the transaction, create your account or process any returns or refunds. Such information may include your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, as well as payment information. 
  • “when you subscribe to our newsletter, contact us for customer support or returns”: we may collect your email address, phone number and content of your message. We use this information to communicate with you or to deliver our newsletter to you. You may also adjust your personal preferences, such as the type of products you shop for, as well as language preference, and your day and month of birth. These preferences allow us to include in our newsletters content that is most relevant to you. 
  • “when you choose to leave a comment or feedback on the Site”: we may post such comments and feedbacks on the Site.
  • “when you create an account or become a member of our loyalty program on the Site”: we may request and collect your name, email, phone number, address, preferred language, username and password so we can maintain and efficiently use your account and our loyalty database. We do not never share this data with anyone. The data is collected and maintained in the database includes: your name, email address, password, phone number, mailing address, your purchase history and products. 

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Personal Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this information to:

  • Communicate with you; with your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, special events, promotions, survey, and other content tailored to your preferences. You have the option to unsubscribe to our promotional emails by clinking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of your email;
  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud;
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising related to our products or services;
  • Provide customer support to assist you when you contact us with a comment, question or complaint;
  • Conduct surveys in order to improve our services;
  • Process returns and refunds;
  • Fulfill our legal obligations.

We use the device information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

 

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

In the normal course of business, we may share some of your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. In general, the third-party providers we work with will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide them for your purchase-related transactions.

We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of the above-mentioned service providers, so you can understand the manner in which these service providers will handle your personal information.

Please take it into consideration that certain providers may be located in (or have facilities that are located in) a different jurisdiction than either you or us. Therefore if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave the Site or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or the Site’s Terms of Service.

We may share your information if we become involved in a transaction that includes the sale of our assets, such as a merger or acquisition, if we are transferred to another company, in the event of a bankruptcy, or as part of any other business transfer. If the surviving entity in such a transaction is not FEY Cosmetics, the surviving entity may use your information pursuant to its own privacy policies, which may be different from this Privacy Policy.

FEY Cosmetics may share anonymized or aggregated information (“Aggregate Information”) to third parties without restriction. Aggregate Information may include overall usage patterns of FEY Cosmetics users, the total number of FEY Cosmetics users, the percentage of FEY Cosmetics users who are female, or in a certain age range, or who live in a particular region, etc., or the percentage of FEY Cosmetics users who are also consumers of various other products and services. Aggregate Information may be compiled in reports and disclosed, sold, licensed or rented to third parties. However, since Aggregate Information does not include any information that can be used to individually identify you or any other FEY Cosmetics user, it is not possible for the third party recipient of the Aggregate Information to use it to identify or contact you. For example, we may share Aggregate Information to inform a third party’s decision on whether to place advertisements on the Site or on other websites. These companies may use such information about your visits to the Site and other websites to provide advertisements on the Site and other websites.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or another lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Notwithstanding the foregoing measures, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or guarantee that information on the Site may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed. Your privacy settings may also be affected by changes to the functionality of FEY Cosmetics’s third-parties, such as social networks. We are not responsible for the functionality or security measures of any third party.

In the event that any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised, in accordance with applicable laws and through the notification procedures set forth in this Privacy Policy.

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information is corrected, updated, or deleted. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. When you place an order through the Site, we will retain your Personal Information for our records unless and until you ask us to erase this information.
